    Very negative experience with a seller. Purchased a plant on a live sale, Amex was charged. Seller said I didn’t pay for anything and they didn’t have more order. Then my account was blocked a few days later. Not interested in this type of experience.

    Been into gardening for years, started with orchids moved to palms, tropical fruit, Bromiliad s, cactus, Aroids and now Platycerium. You can find all of it on this app. Etsy, and other apps you don’t have the ability to see the plant live and ask questions to the sellers. You get to know the sellers and many have a passion for what they do like the awesome Msmosspotter who has help with my plant journey on Palmtree. No other app does this, in this way.

    First order I bought a plant from a person who had a Verified Seller Badge. Guess they aren’t verified. I Never received the item it was a scam. When you message customer service they just say sorry you had that experience. Beware of the scammers on the app they won’t refund you.

    Had a bad experience where a seller sent a mushy alocasia corm, seller refused to refund and palmstreet refused to step in. selling dead plants should not be a defendable practice, shop elsewhere.

    I love this app. However, I am deeply disappointed to get notifications from sellers I do NOT follow. The seller was a popular seller, Koryn. If I wanted notifications from her sales, I would have followed her shop. If she is getting special treatment or she got this feature via paid partnership, disclose it. Otherwise, it raises questions like why they are pushing this seller to everyone. Is she paying more? Will a regular and small seller get this opportunity? -notify non-followers when their sales start? If so, how. If not, why? If the Palmstreet app wants to notify people anyhow, give us the option to turn notifications for people we don’t follow. FB tag @everyone can be muted per group. Please stop shoving sellers to our throats. What’s the point of following people when this app will just notify me of sellers I do not follow?

    I have bought some amazing plants on the app that I couldn’t find in other platforms and local nurseries. It really helped to grow my collection and for that I am grateful. However, I did have a bad experience with a seller who shipped plants that were not as described in the title of her listing. I rely heavily on accurate information in the title of listing as I am hard of hearing. The seller was aggressive when contacted and when seeking support from the customer service on Palmstreet, I had a similar experience as others in these reviews. It was very robotic and not helpful. What I would advise new customers is to do your research on these sellers. Many sellers have direct websites or Etsy pages and sadly I’ve noticed the prices of the plants they out up for auction are often times listed at a much cheaper price on other platforms. So I’ve felt like I’ve overpaid numerous times but I blame myself for not doing the proper research. Don’t get caught up in the dopamine hits from bidding or you’ll end up seriously overpaying. The app is designed in a way that is not user friendly in terms of calculating the total you’ve spent with a seller during one live session. Each plant you buy is charged individually and so it can be hard to follow your final total as a new customer. I kept tally of my charges on an excel sheet to help maintain an accurate representation of my spending habits on this app as it can be super addicting. Also, please make note of shipping costs. I’d say a handful of sellers are super reasonable and others are not. I’ve noticed most sellers do not reimburse the buyer for shipping costs if you overpay thus profiting from this. As an extreme example, I spent $50 to ship a small box because each 1-2 inch plant cost an extra $2 to ship on top of a base shipping cost of $10! Seller did not reimburse. This is another way that palm street could improve their policies for their buyers. Anyways, the app is fantastic for finding amazing plants if you don’t fall victim to a bad seller or the competitive bidding tactics. I’ve gotten some amazing deals and some not so great deals (in hindsight) so do your research first. I hope I can return to the app once customer service improves and buyers are protected more from nefarious sellers looking to exploit unsuspecting customers.

    I really love this app!! It’s so easy to use, just wish they could add a like button so we can go back to the ones we want to go back and buy. Other than that I love it!!
