    It reminds me of Twitter back before Elon turned that into a Nazi-fest, except that it’s actually nicer than Twitter was. Really great user community, and great culture: when jerks want to debate you on e.g. Nazi nonsense, “block early and often.”

    honestly this is the perfect alternative to X, it has way better monitoring and im not constantly followed by p*** bots or bombarded with crypto and political ads. probably deleting X soon and fully switching here tbh and i suggest others do too

    i love bluesky (mostly because it contains primarily artist) and its ui is very sleek and intuitive!! i do however wish that the algorithim was a little better, as no matter how many posts i like, it doesnt update my feed. despite that, its a pretty good app overall 👍😄

    One thing I noticed about negative reviews is people saying it's just a blatant copy of old twitter, which is the point! Twitter which is now "X" has lost the spark that old twitter once had which alot of people miss. So much hate and drama happens on the app which could be chocked up to just the internet being the internet but it is genuinely tiring to see a app that was once pretty laid back become what it is today. This app is trying to bring back the old spark twitter or "X" once had...so yea it's basically twitter but that's the point. Right now it obviously isn't perfect algorithm wise if ur trying to push yourself out there but hopefully the app gets better.

    I’m new to using Bluesky and so far it seems great! It has a ton of use for artists and the specific feeds are a really perfect tool but up close image quality is awful. While scrolling it isn’t really an issue but details get muddy and pixilated no matter what when clicked on :(

    Don't listen to the other reviews from months ago. This app has gotten so so much better since that point. Adding support for videos, having gifs (mostly) working, a bigger following of people than ever before, the algorithm being a great refresher from the average and normalized ones that try to guess what you wanna see rather than you figuring that out yourself. This app isn't just fun to use, It is quite possibly the most fun I've had in years on a social media platform ever. It does everything I need it to do and nothing else, and that is also a refresher in the day and age of "let's just copy what TikTok does and make a shorts feature". It feels exactly like Twitter/X used to years and years ago, but somehow even better. This is what I foresee the future of social media being like, and I hope it truly does become that. 10/10, perfect score. Don't miss a thing about the other platforms I have used in the past.
