I assume it needs an update for iOS 18. The app won’t let me leave the login screen.

  • A Long Way To Go

Years ago I used the Olive Tree app, then I discovered the Life Bible app that was formerly Tecarta. I use the Life Bible primarily on an iPad because of screen size. I use it on a cell phone only if I want to read while waiting for an appointment. I have several Bibles on it including the NASB with concordance. I have two commentaries on it: the John MacArthur commentary and the Thru the Bible commentary. I presently have a view of three columns. I view two Bible translations plus a commentary. Selecting a different translation or commentary is a simple matter of clicking on that column for a list. Notes or verse highlights that I make are kept in a journal where they can be organized in folders. While in church I use the Life app to take notes and view the commentaries to compare them to the sermon. I just tried the Grace app and found it too rudimentary for me to use. It has a long way to go to be really good and well organized.

  • DO NOT SAVE NOTES

Do not expect to have notes and highlights saved on this app. The resource is great and the MacArthur commentaries are wonderful but this is NOT an app that can be maintained for personal use. If you log out, for any reason, all your notes, highlights, favorites, etc., will be gone when you log back in. No reasonable explanation - just gone. So go ahead and read or study but have pen and paper handy if you want to make notes. In addition, no updates which is problematic and wonder why this great resource is being ignored by developers.

Great app with tons of notes, sermons, plans, etc. But, they really need to work out the bugs. Too many odd malfunctions around highlighting and navigation.
